Shri Raghunath Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya was established by the ruler of the J&K and it was named Shri Ranbir Kendriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha. After the declaration of the Sansthan as a Deemed to be University, it was again renamed as "Shri Ranbir Campus".
It functions with eight Departments like:
Veda, Vyakarana, Jyotisha, Darshana, Sahitya, Shiksha Shastra, Kashmir Shaiva Darshana and Mukta Svadhyaya Kendra.
Shastra education has imparted to students in traditional and modern lines of different disciplines of Higher Secondary, M.A., M.Ed and B.Ed. The campus also offers a PhD Degree in all the traditional and inter-disciplinary subjects.

Shri Ranbir Campus has a library that covers a total area of 8472 Sq.meters. This library has a collection of 39063 books out of which 23269 general books and 12552 textbooks are available.
Library uses e-granthalaya as a library management software, and it also subscribes to a wide variety of research journals in the library. Dharmarth Trust is the largest Hindu trust in India, and it manages about 175 temples and shrines all over the country. It also manages the Shri Ranbir Campus library collection of over 7000 rare manuscripts. Shri Ranbir Campus library started the digitization of documents under EAP886 Digitization Project.

श्री रघुनाथ संस्कृत महाविद्यालय जम्मू और कश्मीर के शासक द्वारा स्थापित किया गया और इसका नाम श्री रणबीर केंद्रीय संस्कृत विद्यापीठ रखा गया। विश्वविद्यालय
को डीम्ड होने के रूप में संस्थान की घोषणा के बाद, इसे फिर से "श्री रणबीर कैम्पस" के रूप में नाम दिया गया।

पुस्तकालय ई-ग्रन्थालय का उपयोग पुस्तकालय प्रबंधन सॉफ्टवेयर के रूप में करता है, और यह पुस्तकालय में विभिन्न प्रकार की शोध पत्रिकाओं की सदस्यता भी लेता है। धर्मार्थ ट्रस्ट भारत का सबसे बड़ा हिंदू ट्रस्ट है, और यह पूरे देश में लगभग 175 मंदिरों और मंदिरों का प्रबंधन करता है। यह 7000 से अधिक दुर्लभ पांडुलिपियों के श्री रणबीर कैंपस पुस्तकालय संग्रह का प्रबंधन भी करता है। श्री रणबीर कैंपस लाइब्रेरी ने EAP886 डिजिटाइजेशन प्रोजेक्ट के तहत दस्तावेजों के डिजिटलीकरण की शुरुआत की।
