Raghunath Temple is located in the middle of Jammu, at a close distance to the Jammu Airport, and it is the largest and significant shrine complex of North India. The Raghunath Temple complex consists of seven temples, where each temple has a Shikhar of its own. The presiding deity of Raghunath Temple in Jammu is Lord Rama, an avatar of Lord Vishnu.
The construction of the Raghunath Temple began in 1835 AD by Maharaja Gulab Singh, who was the founder of the Kingdom of J&K. Its construction was later continued by his son, Maharaja Ranbir Singh, in 1860.

"ABOUT LIBRARY"
It is the ancient temple in Jammu, which has the library inside. The collection of Raghunath Temple Library includes nearby 6000 manuscripts, and the project holder has already digitized around approximately 2000 manuscripts. Under EAP886 project, Digitisation of Sanskrit Manuscripts and Books in the state of J&K carried out.
This library has around ten to twenty thousand books, including many rarities, and most of which are uncatalogued.
Another interesting fact about the Raghunath temple is that you can see Mughal architecture's influences inside the temple. And its library has mostly rare Sanskrit books and manuscripts.

जम्मू की विरासत: रघुनाथ मंदिर पुस्तकालय
