GDC Poonch established in 1955. Earlier it functions
as an intermediate college in the old "Resham Ghar" building. The GDC
Poonch prior affiliated to Jammu and Kashmir University, but the Jammu and
Kashmir University later converted into two separate universities, The University of Jammu and the University of Kashmir. The GDC Poonch is presently
affiliated to the University of Jammu and recognized by University Grants
Commission(UGC).
"About Library"
The library of Government Degree College(GDC) Poonch
has a collection of nearby about 45000 books. In the college library, every student
has to deposit a security of Rs 30/-. The security is refunded every year in
June. A "No Demand" certificate used to accompany the claim for the
refund of library security from the Librarian and various Textbook sections of
the College Departments. It should be done within a reasonable time after
leaving the College, but not later than two years in any case. College Library
has a reading room for its users. To enhance the students' general knowledge,
the college library subscribes to magazines, newspapers, and journals. The
college library of GDC Poonch is meant only for those users who directly or
indirectly connected College.

जीडीसी पुंछ 1955 में स्थापित किया गया था। पहले यह पुराने "रेशम गृह" भवन में एक मध्यवर्ती कॉलेज के रूप में कार्य करता था। जीडीसी पुंछ पहले जम्मू और कश्मीर विश्वविद्यालय से संबद्ध था, लेकिन जम्मू और कश्मीर विश्वविद्यालय
बाद में दो अलग-अलग विश्वविद्यालयों, जम्मू विश्वविद्यालय
और कश्मीर विश्वविद्यालय में परिवर्तित हो गया। जीडीसी पुंछ वर्तमान में जम्मू विश्वविद्यालय से संबद्ध है और विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग को (यूजीसी) द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त है।

में"
गवर्नमेंट डिग्री कॉलेज (जीडीसी) पुंछ के पुस्तकालय में लगभग 45000 पुस्तकों का संग्रह है। कॉलेज की लाइब्रेरी में, प्रत्येक छात्र को 30 / - रुपये की सुरक्षा जमा करनी होगी। सुरक्षा हर साल जून में वापस की जाती है। कॉलेज के विभागों के लाइब्रेरियन और विभिन्न पाठ्यपुस्तक वर्गों से पुस्तकालय सुरक्षा की वापसी के लिए दावे के साथ "नो डिमांड" प्रमाण पत्र का उपयोग किया जाता है। यह कॉलेज छोड़ने के बाद एक उचित समय के भीतर किया जाना चाहिए, लेकिन बाद में किसी भी मामले में दो साल से अधिक नहीं। छात्रों के सामान्य ज्ञान को बढ़ाने के लिए, महाविद्यालय पुस्तकालय पत्रिकाओं, समाचार पत्रों और पत्रिकाओं की सदस्यता लेता है। जीडीसी पुंछ का कॉलेज पुस्तकालय केवल उन उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए है जो सीधे या अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से कॉलेज से जुड़े हैं।जीडीसी पुंछ के पुस्तकालय में डिजिटलीकरण अभी तक शुरू नहीं हुआ है।
